Trailhead(s)/Access Directions: The Spider Kingdom section is located between SE 25th Ave, SE 95th St, CR 475, and SE 110th St. in Ocala. It has also been called “Plummer Hope” and “110th St.” It is accessible from parking at the Santos Trailhead about 3 miles to the northeast or at the Horse Park in the Barns section just across CR475 to the southwest – see those sections for directions.
Description: There are approximately 5 miles of trails in this section, ranging from open fireline roads to twisty wooded singletrack. Trails are generally flat and sandy to loamy. Several loops are open to driving. A pitcher pump and trough are located on the wagon trail towards the northeast corner of the Spider Kingdom section - See map here.
Update 9/5/06: the pitcher pump had not been working (water table too low) but is now back in operation - we extended the pipe another 10 feet.
